Day Opportunities

Not every meaningful day happens within four walls. That's why our programme combines high-quality centre-based activities with real opportunities to connect, learn and thrive within the local community.

  • Build confidence and independence
  • Develop new skills and interests
  • Make friends and feel part of a community
  • Enjoy a balance of learning, fun and wellbeing

Centre-Based Opportunities (Hub)

Our Centre-Based Opportunities are delivered from the ‘Forum at Greenwich’ Community Centre. This modern, fully accessible facility has been designed to accommodate a wide range of needs and abilities.
Activities take place within the Caledonian Hall, which offers a spacious, comfortable environment with exclusive use of a large outdoor terrace area. Service users also have access to other areas of the building, including the café and communal spaces, under the supervision of Purple Rose Care staff.
We believe people should have the freedom to move around, socialise and enjoy different environments throughout the day. Rather than remaining in one room, individuals are encouraged to access the wider facilities available within the centre with the supervision of our friendly staff, helping to create a more natural, inclusive and engaging experience.

Community-Based Opportunities (Spoke)

In addition to our centre-based activities, we offer Community Opportunities twice each week.
We believe that meaningful day opportunities should not mean spending five days a week in the same room. Community participation is at the heart of what we do. Our Community Opportunities support people to access local services, build friendships, develop independence and become active members of their community.
Activities may include visits to cafés, parks, museums, leisure facilities, shopping centres, local events, volunteering opportunities and other places of interest. Each activity is designed to promote confidence, choice, independence and social inclusion.
By combining Centre-Based and Community Opportunities, we provide a balanced programme that supports personal development, wellbeing and meaningful participation in everyday life.
